TIMELESS
As fast hands slowly turn
I lay and wonder.
The images blurred and surreal,
Moving faster than light itself.
Yet I remain as before,
Ever different from the beginning.
Am I the Alpha or am I the Omega?
Confused and directionless though I be,
Soft breezes carries me ever here.
Goddesses of untruths beg me to lie with them,
Offering me their gifts.
Am I any different?
Would the sands stop falling if I commanded?
Aren’t we all but vanity?
Striving to break free of our monsters?
The endless Earths breath continues swirling,
Accompanied by the tearful oceans voice.
Vast and endless, ever present,
We are but mere dust fighting for purpose.
COMFORT
In the warmth I lay my head,
Contented and at peace.
No shadows lurk here
None to disrupt my thoughts.
The silence is whispering consolingly
Pure and untainted
I do not care for what I have left behind.
All that was is no more
Calmness embraces me in this darkness.
